School of Public Finance and Public Administration holds online exchange with Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman


In order to enhance the internationalization of the college and further strengthen the cooperation and communication with Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, an online cooperation and communication meeting was held between the Faculty of Business and Finance of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman in Malaysia and our school at 10:00 am on March 13, 2023. The meeting was held via online video, and this meeting was hosted by Vice President Dai Lihua of our school. Au Yong Hui Nee, Dean of Faculty of Business and Finance, Choong Yuen Onn, Associate Dean of Faculty of Business and Finance, KuahYoke Chin, Head of Department of Finance, Professor Liu Jian An of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, as well as Wu Chaoyang, Dean of School of International Economics and Trade of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, Professor Shen Feilong of School of Business Administration of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, Dean Zhang Zhongfang, Associate Dean Dai Lihua, Associate Professor Liao Shaogang and Dr. Wang Mengying of our school attended the symposium.

At the beginning of the meeting, Au Yong Hui Nee, Dean of Faculty of Business and Finance of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman and Professor Liu Jianan, and Wu Chaoyang, Dean of School of International Economics and Trade of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, discussed the issues of international trade in Southeast Asian countries in the post-epidemic era, and established a follow-up cooperation and exchange plan:(1) Conducting online forums to encourage academic collaboration between teachers from both sides. That is, before conducting the forum, each faculty member will give their respective research directions and areas of interest, and will be paired during the forum discussion to explore possible collaborative research projects; (2) Conducting online lectures to broaden students' international perspectives. 2-4 faculty members from each institution will give online lectures to let students understand the economic trends, development and pioneering of China and ASEAN after the epidemic; (3) To discuss in depth the cooperation of the Joint Research Center on Digital Economy and Public Governance; (4) To explore the study tour program of both schools.

Finally, Au Yong Hui Nee, Dean of Faculty of Business and Finance of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman and Prof. Zhang Zhongfang, Dean of our school, expressed their hope to further deepen the cooperation and exchange in the future to better realize the complementary advantages and resource sharing to achieve a win-win situation for both sides!
