Our school held a seminar on the study abroad program at the University of Essex in UK

In order to broaden students' international horizons and provide them with more study and communication channels, on March 24, 2023, the School of Public Finance and Public Administration held a briefing session on the study abroad program at the University of Essex, UK, in Conference Room 105 of the Finance and Taxation Building, which was presented by Ms. Guo Yaqin, Senior Admissions Specialist of the University of Essex China Office, and attended by Professor Dai Lihua, Vice Dean of the School of Public Finance and Public Administration, and 35 students.

At the beginning of the meeting, Ms. Guo Yaqin introduced the teaching environment, academic level, program advantages and application process of the University of Essex in detail, so that the students could have a preliminary understanding of the basic situation of the University of Essex in the UK, and answered the questions raised by the students about the admission requirements, accommodation and teaching quality, and encouraged them to actively strive for the opportunity. Afterwards, a special WeChat Q&A group was formed to help the students further understand the study abroad program.

Afterwards, Vice President Dai Lihua explained the documents of the tuition-free interactive program and self-financed study abroad program in the fall of 2023, so that students could better understand the regulations of our university on studying abroad, and encouraged them to go out and see more” and improve their international literacy.

The seminar was a great success, the students said that their questions had been solved, the seminar provided them with channels and directions, and they would be more proactive in seeking study abroad programs afterwards!
